Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. While we would like to think we appreciate women 365 days a year, at Made in the Shade, International Women’s Day is the perfect time to highlight the woman who keeps the operation moving, our president, Nancy Vasquez!

Nancy started Made in the Shade in 1991 in her garage, and with the help and support of her family (and friends who became family) has turned this company into what it is today – one of Northern California’s top tent vendors.

Her vision, strength, and passion for this company and its employees is palpable and truly inspiring.

So happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there, but specifically, happy International Women’s Day to our fearless leader, Nancy!
