TENT BALLASTING (WEIGHTS)

Ballasting is essentially the weights that will hold the tent in place while it is installed at the event site. Each tent rental will have specific criteria that must be met to arrive at the total weight required to adequately ballast a tent.

Cement blocks are 350lb, 500lb, 700lb, 2500lb & 3500lb. Calculations for total amount required vary depending on tent size, leg pattern and weather conditions.

Drop in anchors are used to ballasting tenting that is placed on top of concrete and staking/blocks are not an option. Specific criteria for drop-in anchors must be met for this option to be approved.

Stakes are used to ballasting tenting that is placed on top of dirt, grass, asphalt, gravel, etc. Specific criteria for staking must be met for this option to be approved.

Combination of staking and cement blocks will be used.

RAIN PLAN STATEMENT

Made in the Shade does NOT hold tenting in the event that the rental is for a back up rain plan, even if a deposit has been made.

This is in part due to our confirmed job schedule. As an alternative plan, Made in the Shade will provide a rental estimate that can be activated should a rental be required due to rain.

Jobs will be accepted on a first come, first served, basis.
