We have been busy setting up tents all over Sacramento for California Family Fitness. The regional fitness company has been moving their equipment outdoors in order to meet the guidelines for reopening amid the current worldwide pandemic. Check out our set ups!

This is how we do it! Great food, amazing beer, out-of-this-world ice cream! You can’t go wrong! And of course, the tent looks great! Remember to practice social distancing, wash your hands, sit down to eat, but it’s best not to linger long, so others can enjoy. Stay safe.

Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. While we would like to think we appreciate women 365 days a year, at Made in the Shade, International Women’s Day is the perfect time to highlight the woman who keeps the operation moving, our president, Nancy Vasquez!

Nancy started Made in the Shade in 1991 in her garage, and with the help and support of her family (and friends who became family) has turned this company into what it is today – one of Northern California’s top tent vendors.

Her vision, strength, and passion for this company and its employees is palpable and truly inspiring.

So happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there, but specifically, happy International Women’s Day to our fearless leader, Nancy! Thank you for believing in your business, your employees, and being a great example of what it means to be a thriving female leader in a very male-dominated industry.

Well folks, it’s hard to believe, but it is officially August. Schools are going back in session, and before you know it, fall will be upon us.

Apart from the usual pumpkin spice everything, crisp weather, and overall cozy vibes, with fall comes one of America’s greatest contributions to the rest of the world – football.

We are huge football fans here at Made in the Shade, with most of our staff members favoring the 49ers. Yes, they are the local team, but Made in the Shade has also been the 49ers preferred tenting vendor for the past 18 years!

The first preseason game was August 9 against the Cowboys, and some of our staff attended the game. There’s nothing quite like the draw of a live football game – the roar of the crowd, the lively half-time shows, it’s just plain fun!

So, if you are planning to make your way out to Levi’s Stadium and catch a game this season in person or on tv, grab your gear, and when you see a tent at the stadium, you’ll know who it belongs to.
