ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FACILITIES AT THE JOB SITE
Made in the Shade is committed to the safety of our employees throughout the installation and removal of our tents, canopies, and structures. This commitment to safety includes restroom facilities at the job site. Made in the Shade requires that all customers provide an accessible restroom for use by the crew. In the event that a restroom cannot be made available at the installation site, Made in the Shade will deploy a single portable restroom for the exclusive use of the installation/removal crew. This portable restroom is added at an additional cost that will include the rental for the restroom and the transportation of the restroom to and from the site.
General Guidelines/Information:
Typically, a restroom will be added to a job order twice. Once line item will be for the delivery and one will be for the pickup. The charge will will include the restroom and transportation to and from the site.
If you will be securing restrooms for your event, we strongly suggest an early delivery of restrooms for use by the the personnel tasked with setting up the event. We also suggest a later pickup following the conclusion of your event. The type of preplanning is important, especially for locations where restroom facilities are not easily accessible or available.
Restroom facilities must be accessible, clean, and in proper working order. Accessible restrooms should be under a 1 minute walk from the work zone, be properly maintained, and properly outfitted with supplies. If for any reason, upon arrival at the site, the crew leader reports that restrooms are not accessible for and to the crew, Made in the Shade will deploy a portable restroom and trailer to the site. Scenarios such as this will be billed at a premium rate and will appear on the Final Invoice with expedited charges included.
In conclusion:
We view your installation site as an extension of our warehouse and we are bound by federal, state, and local labor laws and ordinances. Certain aspects of that view include access to restroom facilities for any reason necessary, for whatever the needs of the individual employee might entail.
