ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FACILITIES AT THE JOB SITE
Made in the Shade is committed to the safety of our employees. We maintain that sentiment throughout the installation and removal of our tents, canopies, and structures. One might not consider access to restroom facilities at the job site is safety related, but it is. Our team of installers perform when they are focused and prepared to meet the demands of the job. Having to use the bathroom when one is not available can add stress to the employee and the result might be a lack of focus. That is when injuries happen.
Made in the Shade requires that all customers provide an accessible restroom for use by the crew. If a restroom cannot be proved, one will be included on the rental.
General Guidelines/Information:
Typically, a restroom will be added to a job order twice. Once line item will be for the delivery and one will be for the pickup. The charge will will include the restroom and transportation to and from the site.
If you will be securing restrooms for your event, we strongly suggest an early delivery of restrooms for use by the the personnel tasked with setting up the event. We also suggest a later pickup following the conclusion of your event. The type of preplanning is important, especially for locations where restroom facilities are not easily accessible or available.
Restroom facilities must be accessible, clean, and in proper working order. Accessible restrooms should be under a 1 minute walk from the work zone. Client provided restrooms must be properly maintained, and outfitted with supplies. If a restroom cannot be used by the crew once at the site, Made in the Shade will deploy a portable restroom and trailer to the site. This expedited restroom delivery will be billed at a premium rate and will appear on the Final Invoice.
In conclusion:
We view your installation site as an extension of our warehouse and we are bound by federal, state, and local labor laws and ordinances. Certain aspects of that view include access to restroom facilities for any reason necessary, for whatever the needs of the individual employee might entail.
