Moving from tents and canopies into large structures activates an additional layer of productivity and efficiency from a specific selection of heavy equipment sourced from the Sacramento and Bay Area suppliers. These machines are intended to assist the crew, provide added strength and capabilities to our highly skilled crew, and to promote team safety.

INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FOR EVENT TENTS & STRUCTURES

The following information cards depict that various types of heavy equipment that may be required to complete the installation and/or removal of tenting equipment from the job site.

Made in the Shade will only procure heavy equipment from a reputable supplier like United Rentals or Sunbelt Rentals. Typically, heavy equipment will be delivered to the site and subsequently picked up from the site by one of our third party supplier. Ideally, our operations and logistics teams will manage the procurement process; however, our customers may also secure equipment needs on behalf of our team for exclusive use during the install or removal of tenting.

Heavy equipment, specifically 8-10k Reach Forklifts and Boom Lifts, will be activated for the installation of 20m, 25m and 30m structures. The primary use of these machines is to lift and place the arches, pull tops through the track systems, and to lift and place ballasting blocks.

Heavy equipment elevates our projects when we apply a range of AWPs and MEWPs. From scissor lifts, used to hang lighting from the highest points of the tent, or the deployment of powerful boom lifts to lift and secure the many arches that comprise our largest structures, Heavy equipment helps us complete the job safely and on time!

Made in the Shade crews have participated in extensive trainings and they have obtained certifications to operate all pieces of equipment that may be procured for a rental reservation.
